Grace Café is a place for students to come to escape from the stress of college life and relax in a welcoming environment. Our motto is, “It’s not cheap, it’s free,” and we always have free coffee, snacks, Wi-Fi, and a printer.

Our current hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 AM – 10 PM, Fridays from 9 AM to 4 PM. Check our GroupMe or Instagram for updates.

We can have a team of up to 12 interns: 6 guys and 6 gals. As people graduate or move on, these positions become available. The interns work 20 hours in the Cafe and/or the church and attend the weekly church service in exchange for FREE housing. The guys live in Louttit Hall/Grace Café on the second floor while the gals live in the Norma Tomberlin House on College Avenue. Both are an easy walk to campus. We also employ a director of college ministry who facilitates the entire internship program with the oversight of the priest.

At Grace Café we understand that food is not always accessible or affordable. We always have non-perishable food available for students. Our food pantry is fully stocked with shelf-stable items and some hygiene products for students to take what they need.

Free, family-style dinners for college students are hosted twice a month. The menu varies, so come share a meal with us!

We run holiday-themed events, art and crafting nights, football watch parties, game nights, cookouts, and movie nights. We are always looking to expand our offerings.

Intern Team The Grace Café team is made up of 1 director and 12 interns. From freshmen to graduate students, everyone is welcome here!

Father Hal Weidman, Father Hal is the priest of Christ Church and is someone the students can go to for anything. He has diverse work and study experiences and has a passion for helping veterans.

Jeri-Lyn Flowers serves as the director of the college ministry. She works with the guidance of a team of Christ Church parishioners and the liaison from the vestry.

Steve Honeycutt is the vestry liaison. He supports the college ministry and the church in various ways.
